Sago waste in Pangi Village, Dulupi District, Boalemo Regency which is not used by residents is transformed into valuable goods by the Chemistry Student Association, Chemistry Department, Faculty Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo.

Under the guidance of the Head of the Chemistry Department, Wiwin R. Kunusa, M.Si, a number of chemistry students who are members of the Holistic Program for Village Development and Empowerment (PHP2D) have passed the funding from the Ministry of Education and Culture after going through several stages of fairly strict selection.

Chemistry Student Association is the only student organisation representative in Faculty Mathematics and Natural Sciences that is entitled to this funding. Apart from HMJ Kimia, 10 other student organisation within UNG received similar funding.[]
