The Chemistry Education Study Program together with the lecturer staff in line with the development of Science and Technology, always conducts a review of the course content by the course teaching team based on their respective fields of expertise consisting of: 1) Organic Chemistry, 2) Physical Chemistry, 3) Analytical Chemistry, 4) Inorganic Chemistry, 5) Biochemistry, and 6) Chemistry Education. Since 1990, the curriculum used in the Chemistry Education Study Program refers to the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 36/DIKTI/KEP/1990 concerning the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education Curriculum for the Educational Personnel Education Institution (MIPA-LPTK) for the Strata-1 (S-1) Program. The curriculum has been reviewed several times in 1995, 2000, and 2007. In the last 5 years, a review has been carried out, namely in August 2010, which focused on the distribution of courses through the Chemistry Education Study Program Curriculum Arrangement Workshop which discussed the adjustment of several subjects. elective courses and elective courses.
In March 2014 the curriculum was reviewed and based on the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI). The curriculum changes are also based on the development of science and technology and in accordance with stakeholders (Department of Education and Culture, especially in Gorontalo). Curriculum review is also strengthened with ADB assistance for UNG, so that chemistry lecturers are involved in chemistry curriculum workshops, including sending UNG Chemistry lecturers to the Chemistry Education Study Program, State University of Malang. , alumni and students of Chemistry Education Study Program.
